코리아의 평화·통일과 남코리아민주주의 위한 세계적운동 강화할것
PSL은 민중민주당의 창당5주년을 축하하며 코리아의 투쟁에 연대를 표한다. 민중민주당은 박근혜정부의 통합진보당탄압이후 촛불항쟁의 과정에서 평화통일과 자주, 진정한 민주주의의 원칙하에 공개적으로 창당된 최초의 당이다.
2016~21 메이데이국제축전(MIF)과 2차당대회참가를 비롯한 코리아안팎에서의 만남과 국제대표단파견을 통해 민중민주당이 인상적으로 성장하는 과정을 확인해왔다.
민중민주당의 7대강령<정권과민중>·<정치와민주>·<경제와환수>·<민생과복지>·<국방과자강>·<외교와친선>·<통일과민족>은 코리아반도의 노동운동을 촉진한다.
PSL은 당지도부의 구속과 극우세력의 공격을 극복해내는 민중민주당의 힘에 고무됐다. 나아가 미국민중운동과의 연대, 특히 2020 구속된 4명의 반인종차별주의조직가이자 PSL당원에 대한 구명운동에 감사를 전한다.
지난 5년간의 투쟁과 협력을 돌아보고 기념하면서, 우리당은 민중민주당과의 유대관계와 코리아의 평화와 통일, 남코리아의 민주주의를 위한 세계적운동을 강화해나갈것이라는 기대를 표명한다.
Congratulatory message to the People’s Democracy Party from the Party for Socialism and Liberation
The Party for Socialism and Liberation congratulates the People’s Democracy Party on the fifth anniversary of their founding and affirms our solidarity with the Corean struggle. The PDP was the first party to openly form around the principles of peaceful reunification, independence, and true democracy during the Candlelight Revolution and after the Park government’s repression of the Unified Progressive Party.
Between 2016 and 2021, we’ve seen the Party grow in impressive ways inside and outside of Corea through our meetings and international delegations, including participating in the Mayday International Festival and the 2018 Party Congress.
The seven points of the PDP’s program that address the government and people, politics and democracy, the reappropriation of economic forces, people’s well being, national defense, diplomacy and friendship, and reunification bolster the workers’ movement on the peninsula.
We’re inspired by the PDP’s ability to withstand the imprisonment of its leadership and attacks by far-right forces. Further, we appreicate the PDP’s solidarity with the people’s movement in the U.S., including their support of four anti-racist organizers and PSL members who were arrested in 2020.
As we reflect on and celebrate the last five years of struggle and cooperation, we look forward to strengthening our ties and the global movement for peace, reunification of Corea and democracy in South Corea
