제주민중항쟁정신 따라 반드시 미군을 철거시킬 것이다
1. 제주민중항쟁정신 따라 반드시 미군을 철거시킬 것이다제주민중항쟁이 일어난지 72주년이다. 1945년 미군은 남코리아에 포고령을 발표하며 점령군으로 들어왔다. 미군은 미군정아래 친미독재자를 앞세워 1948년 남코리아만의 단독정부수립을 강행했다. 이에 제주민중은 미군정과 단독정부수립에 반대해 분연히 항쟁에 떨쳐나섰다. 이때 미군정과 친미독재세력에 학살당한 제주민중은 3만명이 넘는다.
2. 미국은 지금도 미군을 주둔시키며 남코리아민중을 억압, 착취하고있다. 박정희군사쿠데타, 전두환군사쿠데타와 광주민중학살의 배후조종도 미군이다. 매년 반복돼온 코리아전쟁위기의 근원도 미군이다. 헤아릴 수 없는 미군범죄와 환경오염에도 미국은 단한번도 제대로 책임진 일이 없다. 최근에도 트럼프정부는 남코리아민중에게 천문학적인 미군유지비분담금을 강요하고있다. 코비드19위기만 지나면 미남합동북침전쟁연습을 재개하겠다는 것도 트럼프정부다.
3. 주남미군은 전쟁의 화근이며 만악의 근원이다. 주남미군이 있는 한 제주민중학살과 같은 비극이 또다시 재현될 수 있다. 미국은 제주민중이 총을 들고 미군정에 저항했다는 사실을 똑똑히 기억해야 한다. 억압이 있는 곳에 저항이 있다. 우리민중은 반드시 머지않은 장래에 미군을 철거시킬 것이다. 제주민중항쟁의 정신은 우리민중의 자주와 평화, 통일을 위한 정의의 투쟁속에 힘차게 맥박치고있다.

We must withdraw US troops in South Corea in accordance with spirit of Jeju people’s uprising.
1. We mark the 72 commemoration of the Jeju people’s uprising. The US army issued a proclamation and came in South Corea as an occupying forces in 1945. In 1948, the US forces enforced the establishment of separate government only in South with a pro-US dictator ahead under the US military government. Jeju people rose up to the uprising courageously against the US military government and the establishment of separate government in South Corea. In those days, the number of Jeju people slaughtered by the US military government and pro-US tyranny forces was more than 30,000.
2. The US has exploited and suppressed South Corean people by stationing the troops until now. Who pull the strings about military coups by Park Chunghee and Chun Doohwan and the massacre in Gwangju is the US. The cause of war crisis repeated in Corea peninsula every year is also the US. It never holds themselves responsible for immeasurable crimes and environmental pollution by the US military. Even recently, the Trump administration has pressed South Corea government to pay astronomical amount of defense cost-sharing for stationing US troops in South Corea. Who is about to resume the US-South Corea joint war exercises against North Corea right after the COVID-19 crisis is the Trump administration as well.
3. The United States Forces in Korea (USFK) is the cause of war and the root of all evils. As long as USFK exists, the tragedy like the massacre in Jeju can be repeated again. The US must remember clearly the truth that people in Jeju resisted against the US military administration with guns. Wherever there is oppression there is resistance. Our people must withdraw the US troops in South Corea certainly in the not-too-distant future. The spirit of Jeju people’s uprising pulses powerfully in righteous struggles of our people for independence and peace and reunification of the country.
